Boy Scout Troop 292 offers a year-round adventure-based program designed to offer and encourage effective character, citizenship, and fitness training for boys age 11-17.

In addition to camping, Scouts and adult leaders enjoy activities such as rock-climbing and rappelling, canoeing, target-shooting, annual Summer Camp trips, and more while accommodating the needs of today’s busy families.

Boy Scout Meetings are held every Wednesday evening at 7:00pm at the Izaak Walton Cabin at Hillcrest Park in Fullerton.

Our Troop’s History

Our troop was founded in 1923 and is the oldest continuously operating troop in Fullerton. We are sponsored by The Izaak Walton League of America. Since the Troop was chartered, we have had over 95 Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle. Our Eagle projects have helped local schools, churches, and charities throughout North Orange County.

Scouting Events

Troop 292 has started 2015 off with a BANG! In January, we travelled to Fort Hood for an amazing look into the life of our American heroes. We walked the streets of a Middle-Eastern town, witnessed explosions, attacks and artillery fire. First aid skills were indeed needed! Following our trip to Fort Hood, we travelled to the Mojave Desert for a two-night camp where we rode the sand dunes, hiked through nature’s creations and enjoyed the night stars!

Not to be outdone, in February, we tackled the COLORADO RIVER! 22 Troop 292 scouts and family members ventured onto the clear, cold water of the Colorado for a 12 mile canoe trip! The gorgeous canyons and magnificent scenery made us all appreciate this beautiful area of Arizona. What an adventure!
We also had an opportunity to explore the Hoover Dam!

March, April and May will bring even more activities and opportunities for Scout Time! Join us!

Merit Badges

Merit badges are awards earned by youth members of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), based on activities within an area of study by completing a list of periodically updated requirements. The purpose of the merit badge program is to allow Scouts to examine subjects to determine if they would like to further pursue them as a career or vocation.
